The Shanenawá people live in the central-northern region of Acre, near the Envira River, in the municipality of Feijó. The name "Shanenawá" means "People of the Blue Bird." They reside in 14 villages, with the Shanenawá Village being founded in 2009, where 53 people currently live. Known as the "people of joy," they celebrate their traditions with parties, dances, typical foods, and sacred drinks, hosting an annual celebration for the village's anniversary. Since 2022, the village has also welcomed tourists to share their reality, challenging stereotypes and providing a cultural immersion experience.
