ILHA GRANDE
PAPAGAIO PEAK TRAIL
The Pico do Papagaio (982m) is the second-highest point on Ilha Grande and one of the island’s most famous trails, located within the Ilha Grande State Park. The hike crosses native Atlantic Forest, offering contact with centuries-old trees, bromeliads, orchids, and, with some luck, wildlife such as toucans, monkeys, and marmosets.
